Tiny Town Children's Center Inc. is a cherished family-run early childhood education center located in Manomet, Plymouth, MA. Since 1985, we have created a joyful and engaging environment filled with laughter, crafts, and learning opportunities for children from infancy to school age.
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our team at Tiny Town Children's Center. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and educational environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. Your contributions will help shape confident lifelong learners in our community. As a Support Staff member, you’ll primarily assist in our Preschool classroom, working closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. Flexibility is key—we’re seeking someone who’s also comfortable stepping into Infant/Toddler and Pre-K classrooms as needed.
Responsibilities
Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with Massachusetts Early Education Guidelines.
Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a positive learning environment.
Provide individualized support to meet the diverse needs of each child.
Foster relationships with families to support their child's development and learning journey.
Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment
Care taking responsibilities such as diapering, helping with toilet training, helping prepare food, applying sunblock, etc.
Requirements:
Teacher certification from the Department of Early Education and Care
College courses or vocational high school education in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Strong classroom management skills and experience working with young children in a large group setting.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques, special education, and early intervention strategies.
Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Experience in daycare or early childhood settings is highly desirable.
Team player with a flexible and collaborative mindset
Strong communication and organizational skills
