Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children is a professional membership association that works to increase access to high-quality early childhood education and to advance a diverse, well-prepared, and well-compensated early childhood profession. With over 1,500 members, MAAEYC is the largest membership organization in the state of Massachusetts for early childhood professionals and is committed to providing programs and services that equitably meet the needs of young children, their families, and early childhood professionals. We are an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

To create a vibrant and inclusive early education landscape by empowering and championing caregivers, educators, and uplift young children. We aim to foster a network of informed early childhood professionals and parents and help build a well-educated, stable, and fairly compensated workforce in Massachusetts. 


OUR VISION​
To create an organization that has a strong local and state presence that supports early educators and families. 

To become an active resource center, intended to deliver information to our members about professional development, current research, public policy initiatives, legislation, and accreditation. The goal is to create a statewide network of informed early childhood professionals and parents.

​To offer professional development and leadership opportunities designed to build a diverse, well-educated, stable, and fairly compensated workforce for Massachusetts.
