The Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children is a professional membership association that works to increase access to high-quality early childhood education and to advance a diverse, well-prepared, and well-compensated early childhood profession. With over 1,500 members, MAAEYC is the largest membership organization in the state of Massachusetts for early childhood professionals and is committed to providing programs and services that equitably meet the needs of young children, their families, and early childhood professionals. We are an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Southern Early Childhood Association, and the Associate Degree Early Childhood Teacher Educators.
To collaborate with families, educators and agencies to support high quality early education and care through professional development and advocacy.
To create a MAAEYC that has a strong local and state presence that support early educators and families.
To become an active resource center, intended to deliver information to our members about professional development, current research, public policy initiatives and legislation, and accreditation. The goal is to create a statewide network of informed early childhood professionals and parents.
To offer professional development and leadership opportunities designed to build a diverse, well-educated, stable, and fairly compensated workforce for Massachusetts.
